Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: September 2, 2026

This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for CardBasis subscriptions. It's part of our Terms of Service — if anything here conflicts with the Terms, this policy controls for billing-specific questions.

Free Trial

New accounts get a 30-day free trial, regardless of which plan you choose. You won't be charged during this period. If you cancel any time before the trial ends, you won't be billed at all. If you don't cancel, your payment method will be automatically charged for the plan you selected — $9.99 for monthly, or $99 for annual — at the end of the trial, and your subscription will begin.

Billing

CardBasis offers two plans:

  • Monthly — $9.99/month, charged automatically to the payment method on file through Stripe, renewing every month.
  • Annual — $99/year, charged automatically to the payment method on file through Stripe, renewing every year.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Annual Renewal Notice

If you're on the annual plan, we'll email you a reminder before your subscription renews, with a link to cancel if you don't want to continue. This is separate from — and doesn't replace — your ability to cancel anytime from your account settings.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, or by emailing support@getcardbasis.com. Cancellation stops future billing — it takes effect at the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual, whichever plan you're on), and you'll keep full access to CardBasis until that period ends. You will not be charged again after that.

No Refunds

Payments already made are non-refundable, whether you're on the monthly or annual plan — including if you cancel partway through a billing period. Canceling an annual subscription partway through the year does not entitle you to a refund for the remaining months. Because there's a 30-day free trial before you're ever charged, you have that window to try CardBasis before any payment is collected.

The main exceptions are:

  • Where a refund is required by law;
  • A billing error on our part (for example, being charged after you had already canceled) — contact us and we'll fix it.
